Cultural Affairs

Cultural Affairs Specialists bring notable U.S. speakers and specialists to Nigeria to discuss issues of mutual concern.  We organize seminars, symposia, and cultural programs.  We are responsible for several exchange programs that send Nigerians to the U.S. and bring Americans to Nigeria for educational and professional exchanges.   (more)

Study in the U.S.

The Educational Advising Centers in Abuja and Lagos assist students to study in the U.S. Educational advisers counsel students on how to identify U.S. colleges and universities and how to apply for admissions and U.S. visas. (more)

Media Relations

The Information Section engages the Nigerian print and electronic media to explain U.S. policies toward Nigeria. 

We issue press releases and conduct press briefings. 

We monitor Nigerian news to inform Washington policymakers about developments in Nigeria.
