U.S. Embassy Expresses Condolences On the Crash of ADC Flight 53

october 30, 2006 

The U.S. Embassy in Nigeria expresses our profoundest condolences to the government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the crash of ADC flight 53 on October 29, 2006 just outside the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. At this point, the U.S. Embassy cannot confirm casualties or whether U.S. citizens were on board the flight. We have, however, dispatched Embassy personnel to the crash site and the airport.

Updated information for American citizens concerned about the air crash is available by calling the Department of State Operations Center in the United States after hours at 202-647-1512 or the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy Abuja at 461-4000 during normal business hours (7:30 – 4:30, Monday through Thursday and 7:30 – 1:30 on Friday.
