Ambassador John Campbell Delivers Goodwill Message at the Seventh Annual Conference of the Fulbright Alumni Association of Nigeria (FAAN), University of Benin, Benin City

ABUJA, Sunday, February 18 - Tuesday, February 20, 2007 – The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, the Honorable John Campbell will deliver the Goodwill Message at the commencement of the Seventh Annual Conference of the FAAN on Tuesday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m.
The Fulbright Alumni Association of Nigeria (FAAN) will hold its 7th annual conference at University of Benin, Benin City, February 19 through 22, 2006. The theme for this year’s conference is NIGERIA AND THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS. The event aims to promote alumni networking and to stimulate the spirit of the Fulbright Program in Nigeria. Over 60 Fulbright alumni from 30 universities across the country and other prominent dignitaries will participate
In addition, Ambassador Campbell will deliver a lecture on “Elections and the Rule of Law” to over 300 students and faculty at the University of Benin on Monday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m.
Prior to addressing the conference, Ambassador Campbell will be the guest of honor at a buffet dinner given by The Honorable Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion on Sunday, February 18; and on Monday, February 19, Chief Igbinedion will host a breakfast in the Ambassador’s honor.
The Ambassador will pay a condolence call on Mr. Peter Anegbeh, MFA Chief of Protocol who recently lost his mother. He will also pay courtesy calls on the Executive Governor of Benin, His Excellency Lucky Igbinedion; the Oba of Benin, His Royal Highness Okpolokpo Erediauwa; and the Vice Chancellor at University of Benin, Professor Emmanuel A.C. Nwanze.
