Each April, the United States celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM), an opportunity to savor a major American contribution to world culture. Initiated by the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History, JAM aims to focus public attention on the music, and on the many talented composers, musicians and other contributors to the sound. more

Cynthia Scott And The J.A.S. Trio Held Hostage On Stage
March 2 - 8, 2004

Jazz Ambassadors Cynthia Scott and the J.A.S. Trio performed to about 100 guests at Segi Nite Club, Ibadan, and over 200 guests at the Consul General's Residence at Lagos. The guests at both locations included diplomatic representation from various embassies and consulates, government officials, top politicians, academics, business contacts, musicians, and journalists (print and electronic). They also held in Lagos, a live phone-in press interview at a TV/Radio Station - LTV and Eko FM with over 20 leading music print and radio journalists... Photos
